I just inherited an environment with SQL Sentry installed. I know zero about the product.
On the performance dashboard I see the message 'no data is being collected. please make sure the sql sentry server service is running'
is this a service that should run on each database server?
any help appreciated.

Hi Ken,

There are several resources we can provide to get you started, but the first thing to do will of course be to ensure that the environment is healthy.

In order to help with the problem you're experiencing, we'll want you to open a support incident by emailing us at support at sqlsentry.net.

To answer your question though, no, you don't need a service on each server. There is usually just one central service, and we'll need to work with you to ensure it is functioning properly.
